Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July 2013 - Thomas the Tank Engine in Minehead

Once again the club has supported the West Somerset Railway during their annual Thomas the Tank Engine event. This year the activities are spread over two consecutive weekends. The club's layout, Winter Barton, has been set up in a brake van as part of the 'imagination station' in the adjacent coach. In addition, the S&D loco number 88 was drawn up in front of the coaches, to complete the static display.

Several members, including the juniors, took turns to man our display and keep the Thomas trains running, much to the amusement of our young visitors. In fact the layout was so successful, that a number of children had to be dragged away protesting by parents at the end of the day.
